There is no ferry service to transport visitors’ vehicles to the island, and no public transportation such as buses is available on Pangkor Island. The main modes of transportation on the island are pink taxis (pink-colored vans), rented motorcycles, bicycles, and cars.

Pink Taxis, also known as Pink Vans, are the primary mode of public transportation on Pangkor Island (Pulau Pangkor). These taxis are easily recognizable due to their bright pink color and are mainly used by tourists and locals to travel around the island.

Visitors can easily find Pink Taxis at Pangkor Jetty Terminal, hotel areas, main attractions, or tourist spots. Below is the taxi fare for reference:

  • 5 persons & above: RM20.00
  • Maximum: 10 persons

Jetty to Teluk Nipah

  • 7-10 persons: RM30.00

Island Tour (Pink Taxi Charter)

  • RM80.00 – RM100.00 for the first two hours
  • RM30.00 per additional hour

Motorcycle, Car, and Bicycle Rentals on Pulau Pangkor

The most convenient way to explore Pangkor Island (Pulau Pangkor)  freely is by renting a private motorcycle, bicycle, or car. Motorcycles are the most practical and affordable option for navigating the island. However, for those traveling in a group, renting a car is the best choice. Visitors who enjoy cycling can opt for a bicycle rental as their preferred mode of transportation.

Rental Rates

  • Car – Starting from RM90 per day, depending on the season and vehicle type.
  • Motorcycle – Starting from RM40 per day.
  • Bicycle – Starting from RM15 per day.

Rental services are available at Pangkor Jetty, as well as in hotel areas at Teluk Nipah and Pasir Bogak.
